The final images are layered, lightly three-dimensional, small poetic worlds inside their shadowbox frames.
The first layer is hand drawn and then printed. There were four foundational drawing for this series.
The second layer is woven, from lithographs, sliced into warp and weft.
They are each original constructions, composed in the weaving process, no two the same.
All of the drawing is original to me, and the lithograph images, I have drawn on stone, and printed myself.
The lithographs are printed them on fine art paper.
I’ve played around making boxes, ornaments and key chains as well, for fun.
I love to use these media & materials in surprising ways.
