Based right here in Biddeford, just minutes from UNE, we offer UNE students and families personalized dorm-room design services combining virtual planning before arrival with hands-on design, organization and styling in the dorm room.

From simply helping make sense of everything you've chosen to creating the room with you from the beginning, we can make a standard dorm room feel remarkably personal.

Room Reset — $395

For students who have already selected everything for their room but would like professional help bringing it all together.

Up to 3 hours of in-room design and organization, including:

Space planning and furniture arrangement
Closet and storage organization
Bedding and textile styling
Décor placement
Desk and study-area organization
Creative use of limited space
Finishing touches that make the room feel complete

Design + Style — $595

Our signature service begins before you arrive.

We'll meet with you online to learn about your student's style, needs and priorities, then develop a plan for creating a room that works beautifully for them.

Includes:

Virtual design consultation
Personalized design direction
Space and storage planning
Recommendations for furnishings, décor and organizational products
Online shopping and sourcing recommendations
Up to 3 hours of in-room setup, organization and styling

Complete Dorm Design — $795

For families who would like us to take on more of the planning and preparation.

Includes:

Virtual design consultation
Personalized room concept
Furniture, décor and storage sourcing
Purchasing coordination
Space and organization planning
Up to 3 hours of in-room design, organization and styling

With advance arrangements, In Stead Design Management can purchase and have selected items ready locally, making the process especially convenient for families traveling to Maine.

Furniture, décor, storage products and other purchases are additional.

How It Works

1. We meet online.
We learn about your student's style, what they're bringing, what they need and how they want their room to feel.

2. We create the plan.
Depending on your package, we'll help with layout, storage, furnishings, décor and purchasing decisions before arrival.

3. We meet you in the dorm room.
Once your student's belongings are in the room, we work inside the space—arranging, organizing and styling everything into a comfortable, cohesive home for the year.

Please note: In Stead Design Management is a design and organization service rather than a moving service. Families are responsible for transporting personal belongings to the residence hall and dorm room.
